Lejondal Castle
I have also had the great honor of decorating Lejondal Castle with my art now and in the years to come.
right now I have 5 paintings on the walls of the castle and it feels absolutely fantastic that my works can hang in this beautiful castle.
Lejondals Slott is beautifully situated by Lejondalssjön, with rich opportunities for fishing and swimming. The area and the parks around the castle are very scenic, and the castle with its beautiful brick pink straw color justifies the epithet "fairytale castle". At Lejondals Slott, every guest can feel warmly cared for and free to stay in all the castle's salons and meeting rooms.
HISTORY
The castle is one of Sweden's youngest and was completed in 1892, and was built by baroness Louise De Geer (1856-1935). The architect was Professor Isak Classon (1856-1930), who also designed the Hallwyl Palace and the Nordic Museum. The building style is predominantly Wasa style, although influences of other styles can be seen. Louise, née Sparre, decorated her castle very beautifully, and you will find family coats of arms from both the Sparre and De Geer families. In 1914, Louise sold the castle, and it has since had several owners.
